On 1st February, 2020, we had a celebratory graduation dinner at Holiday Inn in honour of our 3rd Executive MBA cohort.
This event was hosted by our Provost, Professor Malcolm McIver and our Deputy Provost, Dr Cynthia Forson to celebrate our third cohort of students, some of who were able to go to the UK campus in December 2019 for their graduation ceremony with their counterparts from all partner universities. The celebratory dinner which is held every year brings together the graduates and their friends, family, LUG staff and lecturers that have supported and encouraged these students throughout their EMBA journey. This year, Dr Alison Stowell, Senior Lecturer of Lancaster University, who also taught the Business Ethics & Sustainability module to this graduating class was present at the ceremony to celebrate with the cohort.
Our 3rd EMBA cohort and Class of 2019 was made up of 22 students from countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and China, with varying years of work experience. These students began their EMBA journey in September 2017, bringing to the programme different kinds of experience from working in various sectors including Telecommunications, Real Estate, Law, Banking, Manufacturing, as well as owning their own businesses. We are also very proud that some of these students were rewarded for their hard work over the past two years by achieving an EMBA with Distinction.
This cohort has now officially joined a community of well over 140,000 alumni from virtually every country in the world; a network which will provide support, advice and friendship throughout their lives. We wish them all their best in their future endeavours! View our EMBA Graduation Celebration album here.
About the Lancaster EMBA
The Executive MBA modules will extend your knowledge of business functions, processes and strategies. They will expose you to many new ideas and concepts, and their practical applications, as well as encouraging you to re-examine your own practice and your personal management style. The Lancaster MBA is among the top MBA programmes worldwide, holding quadruple accreditation: fully accredited by the Association of MBAs, AACSB and EQUIS and the Small Business Charter. What also makes this EMBA truly distinctive is its concept of learning through action, which shapes the entire programme design, and its focus on both personal and organizational development. The programme has been specially designed for leaders who want to further their education without leaving their employers or business. While it demands real commitment, we understand the time pressures you face, so we've organised the programme such that face-to-face time is conveniently provided in block modules – with classes every 6-8 weeks. Modules are delivered by the same faculty that delivers the programme at Lancaster University, UK, meaning students get the exact same experience for a fraction of the cost.
