About Recirculate

GCRF funding over 4 years will support new partnership-based approaches to enable West African researchers to grow transformational impact through (i) working with, in and for their communities and (ii) developing robust, durable and equitable partnerships with UK researchers.

  • • Grow people based research capacity and capability, building on skills across career stages in both UK and developing countries, to enable the very best of research to address challenges faced by developing countries
  • • Build stronger and long lasting relationships between UK researchers and other partners (NGOs, governments and businesses) in developing countries
  • • Increase the engagement of the UK research community with international development challenges

The project consists of different research work packages;

  1. Entrepreneurship and innovation
  2. Health and Sanitation
  3. Water and Food Production
  4. Water and Energy Production

The research work-packages are complemented by a separate substantial activity focussed on developing best practice for “Engagement and Knowledge Exchange” in an African context which includes training workshops and six-eight week residences in Lancaster UK.
