In September, 2019 we welcomed twenty two students who formed the fifth cohort to officially commence study of our Executive MBA programme.
The diverse demographics for our fifth cohort comes with students from Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Iran and China with varying years of work experience. These students bring to the programme different kinds of experience from working in various sectors including Telecommunications, Law, Banking, Retail, Manufacturing, as well as owning their own businesses. This cohort is a unique one because it includes two of our undergraduate alumni: Paul Auguste Kadjo-Wognin, an Ivorian BSc Accounting & Finance graduate from our 2017 graduating cohort, and Victor Abdi, a Nigerian BSc Marketing graduate from our 2019 cohort. Interestingly, the new EMBA cohort had its first Masterclass led by Naa Okailey Adamafio-Manteau, who was part of our 2nd EMBA cohort. Naa Okailey, Country Manager for Denk Pharma GmbH & Co. KG led a discussion on 'Leading from the Outside', which fit in perfectly with the Leadership module studied that weekend.
Taking the decision to embark on two years of intensive study whilst continuing a senior level role is one of the biggest challenges of a career. It demands a significant commitment of time that can be hard to find in addition to work and home responsibilities. It is therefore essential that you find the Executive MBA course that offers the best fit for your work-life balance while delivering world-class learning in an effective, time-efficient manner.
Why take our word for it, here’s what some students from the previous cohorts of our Executive MBA programme had to say;
“The Lancaster EMBA Programme has provided me with the perfect balance between work, education and family. I have access to UK education locally, combined with colleagues and their experiences from different industries and cultures together with a 2 year overview of my timetable. Education has never been so carefully planned and painless like my time with Lancaster “- Eric Tetteh (Account Manager (Sales), Ericsson AB Ghana).
“My experience as an EMBA student at Lancaster University turned out to be crucial to my professional and personal development. The Professors are industrially aware. Networking with other senior executives and CEO’s as course mates is deepening my intellectual abilities. To me Lancaster EMBA is an academic Suite and living the opportunity is fulfilling” – Jerry Selase Ayeduvor, Vodafone, Ghana
"I am currently in my second year of the EMBA programme, and so far I’ve been very impressed with the module content and noticed that it is very relevant and also tackles all modern issues. I find the classes very practical and there is always something to take away. My favourite class definitely has to be the Leadership class. In the businesses I run now, I have a renewed mindset and now I look at sustainability and costing as some of the key components to have a successful business. Through all of this I am able to implement new ideas daily, which is only possible through the knowledge I have acquired since I started my EMBA at LUG." – Sara-Adelaide Odamtten
Our Executive MBA is a 24 month block modular programme designed to build functional knowledge and leadership capability through a combination of taught modules in key management areas interspersed with experiential projects or challenges, which require students to apply said knowledge to specific business issues.
The Lancaster MBA is among the top MBA programmes worldwide, holding quadruple accreditation: fully accredited by the Association of MBAs, AACSB and EQUIS and the Small Business Charter. What also makes this EMBA truly distinctive is its concept of learning through action, which shapes the entire programme design, and its focus on both personal and organizational development.
