A Grand Return with Fierce Competition
After an eight-year break, the Business Cup Challenge (BCC) made a powerful comeback last year. This year, the competition was even tougher, proving that young entrepreneurs are ready to shake up the business world.
Last year saw remarkable participation from various schools and teams, and this year, the competition grew even stronger, drawing in more creativity and groundbreaking ideas. Interestingly, Among the standout achievements, Dominion Christian Academy once again secured the 2nd Runner-Up position—demonstrating remarkable consistency and determination.

The Energy of the Grand Finale
On Friday, February 21st, the GNAT Hall in Accra was filled with excitement as teams pitched their innovative business ideas. The theme, Internet of Things (IoT), challenged students to integrate smart technology into their solutions.
The judges were impressed, and the competition was fierce. However, Team Linkbridge from Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC) Legon emerged as the ultimate champions. Their seamless execution and brilliant approach set them apart.
The Top Teams and Outstanding Performers
Securing the 1st Runner-Up position, Team Smartwave from Delhi Private School (DPS) International wowed the audience with their compelling pitch. Meanwhile, Dominion Christian Academy once again claimed the 2nd Runner-Up spot, reinforcing their reputation for excellence.



The event also celebrated outstanding individual performances:
- Best Female Pitch: Parres Medie Darko (DPS International) captivated the judges with her confidence and eloquence.
- Best Male Pitch: Dennis Osei (PRESEC Legon) delivered an exceptional performance, earning well-deserved recognition.


Driving Innovation with the Support of Sponsors, Partners, and Media
The success of this year’s Business Cup Challenge would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors. mNotify, the main sponsor, played a pivotal role by providing a GHC25,000 cash prize, GHC4,000 worth of engagement tools, and an astounding GHC50,000 to support one team with an innovative deal should they choose to pursue it.
Turf Devices also contributed significantly, sponsoring with GHC5,000 cash and products worth GHC15,000, including a tabletop fridge for the winning team, 10,000mAh power banks, and Bluetooth headsets for awardees.

Additionally, BlueSkies Ghana made the competition even more refreshing by setting up at the event and providing free drinks to all participating schools.
Amnesty International also showed its support for young entrepreneurs by rewarding the winning teams with branded souvenirs, further celebrating their efforts and achievements.
