Lancaster University Ghana’s Student Affairs Department has successfully organised a hands-on CV Clinic to equip students with the tools and confidence needed to stand out in today’s competitive job market. The session brought together students from various programmes for an interactive workshop designed to refine their CVs, strengthen their professional profiles, and enhance their readiness for internships and career opportunities.
Led by the Student Affairs team and supported by experienced facilitators, the clinic guided students through best practices in CV writing, structuring impactful career summaries, and tailoring applications for specific industries. Students received personalised feedback on their CVs, gained insight into common recruitment mistakes, and learned how to present their skills, achievements, and academic experiences compellingly.
The session also highlighted the importance of digital professionalism, with students receiving tips on building strong LinkedIn profiles and positioning themselves effectively for global opportunities.
Participants described the clinic as timely and transformative, noting that the practical exercises and one-on-one guidance helped them better understand how to communicate their strengths to potential employers.
