Lancaster University Ghana’s Foundation Programme recently hosted its annual Business Model Pitch, where students brought bold ideas to life through creative entrepreneurship and strategic planning.
As part of the Innovative Management and Leadership course, students were tasked with developing a viable business concept, designing a comprehensive model, and pitching their ideas to a panel of evaluators. The result? A showcase of innovative thinking and future-ready business acumen.
This year’s pitch featured an exciting variety of projects from a luxury perfume line inspired by Ghanaian botanicals to a fashion-forward shoe and bag brand focused on sustainability and style. These ventures were built with impressive attention to market research, branding, scalability, and social impact.
Other student-led businesses ranged from tech-enabled services to lifestyle products, all demonstrating strong teamwork, market awareness, and creative problem-solving.
The Final Business Model Pitch continues to be a cornerstone of the Foundation Programme, giving students the chance to apply classroom learning in a dynamic, real-world context. It reflects Lancaster University Ghana’s commitment to nurturing innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking, right from the start of the academic journey.
At LUG, students are not only taught to dream big but also to plan smart, act boldly, and turn ideas into action.
