In a display of creativity and practical application of project management skills, foundation students at LUG have successfully completed several impactful projects on campus. These initiatives were undertaken as part of their coursework in project management, aimed at enhancing various aspects of campus life and infrastructure.

Under the guidance of module lecturer, Dr. Jewel Enyonam Ewoade and support from university administration, the students embarked on diverse projects designed to improve the overall campus experience. Among the notable achievements include:

  • Rebranding of Marketing Office: The students revamped the university’s marketing office, giving it a fresh look that aligns with LUG’s dynamic image and values. The redesigned space now serves as a welcoming hub for students, faculty, and visitors alike.
  • Installation of Large Billboard on Campus: A striking addition to the campus landscape, the new billboard will serve as a focal point for information. It enhances visibility and reinforces the university’s identity within the community.
  • Supply and Installation of New Benches: Addressing the need for comfortable seating areas across campus, the students sourced and installed new benches in key locations. These benches provide students with inviting outdoor spaces for relaxation and social interaction.
  • Introduction of Table Tennis Facilities in Maria Hostel: Recognizing the importance of recreational activities in student life, the project team equipped the Maria hostel with table tennis facilities. This initiative promotes physical activity and fosters a sense of community among residents.
  • Student Market Fair: Organized by the students, the market fair provided a platform for entrepreneurial-minded students to showcase their products and services, fostering creativity and business acumen among peers.
  • Donation to an Orphanage in Accra: In a heart-warming gesture of social responsibility, the students contributed to an orphanage in Accra, demonstrating their commitment to making a positive impact beyond the university campus.

Dr. Jewel Enyonam Ewoade, who supervised the projects, commended the students for their dedication and innovative approach. These projects not only demonstrate the students’ project management skills but also their commitment to enhancing campus life. Each initiative contributes significantly to our goal of providing a vibrant and conducive environment for learning and personal growth.

The successful completion of these projects underscores LUG’s commitment to experiential learning and hands-on application of academic concepts.
