Last Friday, Lancaster University Ghana (LUG) held a successful “Agents and Counselors Workshop,” attracting 26 participants. The event aimed to provide school counselors and recruitment agents with detailed insights into LUG’s offerings and best practices in student services.
The workshop began with David Dei-Awuku, LUG’s Marketing Manager, presenting the Lancaster Advantage.” He highlighted the university’s diverse programmes, active clubs and societies, vibrant campus life, accommodation options, experienced faculty, accomplished alumni, and global opportunities.
Percy Edem Amudzi, Admissions Manager, followed up with an informative session on tuition fees and admission requirements, ensuring participants had a clear understanding of the financial and academic aspects of the university.
Prof. Cynthia, Deputy Provost, conducted a comprehensive training workshop on professionalism and customer service, emphasizing their importance in the roles of school counselors and agents.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates and a lively networking session. Participants shared their experiences and insights, fostering a collaborative environment. Mr. Dominic Kwabena Forson, a counselor at Al Ryan School, described the session as an eye-opener, emphasizing the need to prioritize student services. Madam Lydia Adusei, a counselor at ICS Kumasi, expressed her eagerness for future collaborations with LUG, and Madam Constance Quaye, a career guidance counselor at Tema International School, appreciated the enriching experience and the opportunity to connect with peers.
