We’re delighted to announce that exemptions have been awarded by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) to Lancaster University Ghana’s BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance programme (2015-2018) which is identical to that being studied at Lancaster University UK.

Many of the modules studied for an Accounting and Finance degree at Lancaster will help our students gain exemptions from their professional accounting exams. Exemptions will be granted to our graduates at the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting level, CIMA Operational level and CIMA Management level. For those interested in qualifying as accountants, this means that there will be far fewer exams to take when graduates are working.

It will give them more time to focus on developing their expertise at work. Our degrees give our students far more than just exemptions from professional exams. Our students develop a broader understanding of business and are able to choose options which help develop their knowledge and expertise. It also means that those who want to become professional accountants will have a wider range of skills as well as great technical knowledge.
