Lancaster University Ghana celebrated its 2nd Anniversary in grand style at an exclusive cocktail with various partners and invited guests at Coco Lounge in Accra on 10th November, 2015.
The anniversary cocktail was well attended by Prof, Mark Smith (Vice-Chancellor of Lancaster University (UK) and Nicola Owen (Chief Administrative Officer of Lancaster University (UK) as well as management and staff of the Lancaster University Ghana.
Prof. John Grainger (Provost, Lancaster University Ghana) in his opening address congratulated the institution for having made great strides and attained much international recognition over the past two years. He thanked the leadership of LUG and the dedicated service of the prominent staff and faculty who have contributed to the success of the institution.
Lancaster University and Trans National Education jointly open Lancaster University Ghana in 2013. Since then the number of students has grown from 67 to over 500. The University’s portfolio of 10 programmes matches the demands of the West African employment market, and includes foundation, undergraduate and master’s courses. Students come from 15 nationalities, the largest groups being from Ghana and Nigeria.
