To equip its graduating students with the tools necessary for navigating the transition from academia to the professional world, Lancaster University Ghana (LUG) recently hosted a dynamic and insightful session titled ‘What Next?’

The session, held last Thursday, featured Akua Ampah, a distinguished Career Services Consultant renowned for her expertise in guiding individuals toward fulfilling career paths. With over a decade of experience, Akua Ampah led an engaging discussion aimed at helping students reflect on their aspirations, skills, and goals post-graduation.

“Many students often find themselves at a crossroads when they reach the end of their academic journey,” remarked Ampah during the session. “Our goal was to provide them with the necessary guidance and resources to confidently chart their course forward.”

The event served as a platform for our final-year students to explore fundamental questions such as ‘What do I want from life?’ and ‘How can I best utilize my skills and experiences?’ Through interactive exercises and thought-provoking discussions, our students gained valuable insights into strategic planning, self-discovery, and career readiness.

“At LUG, we believe in empowering our students not only with academic knowledge but also with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in the professional world.”

Feedback from our final-year students echoed the sentiment of gratitude and inspiration, with many expressing newfound clarity and motivation as they embark on their post-graduation journeys.
