This commitment was vividly demonstrated during the Annual Business Week Celebration, held from March 3rd to 4th, 2025, under the theme: “Elevation Through Innovation: Empowering the Next Generation of Business Entrepreneurs.”

The event commenced with a keynote address by Professor Jonathan Ivy from Lancaster University Management School (UK), who provided insights into the evolving global business landscape and the critical role of innovation in navigating it.
Industry Meets Academia
Students had the opportunity to interact with prominent figures in the African business scene:
- Mr. Muyiwa Alesh, Head of Media at Publicis West Africa, discussed media strategy and branding in Africa’s dynamic market.
. - Ing. Peter Godslove, Founder & CEO of Pedro Energy PLC, shared his entrepreneurial journey, emphasizing the importance of innovation and vision in building sustainable businesses.
Spotlight on Student Innovation: The Idea Competition
A major highlight was the Student Idea Competition, where students pitched their innovative business ideas to a panel of faculty and industry guests. Each participant had 15 minutes to present their concept.
After a thorough evaluation, three exceptional students were awarded prizes for their originality, creativity, and strategic thinking.

The event concluded with an industrial visit on March 4th, providing students with firsthand exposure to real-world business environments and operations, effectively bridging the gap between academic theories and practical applications.
