Foundation Programme admissions open until 9th November

Home>News>Foundation Programme admissions open until 9th November

The deadline for prospective Foundation students to enroll on to the programme has been extended in order to accommodate the postponement of secondary final examinations including WASSCE and others. Admission to the undergraduate pathway foundation programme is open up to and including 9th November, 2020. All students applying with WASSCE results will therefore be able to apply using their results to gain admission to our Foundation programme.

Students who have already registered for the programme will have the opportunity to use the additional time to attend extra-curricular workshops and sessions that will prepare them for the year ahead. Some of these workshops will include Best Practices in Academic Writing, Presentation Skills Training, and Advanced Computer Literacy Training amongst others.

During the lockdown period we adapted instantly to the disruption brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, with classes and learning continuing without interruption. In the coming academic year we have plans to use a blended learning delivery model to ensure that all of our programmes continue and that students receive our usual high quality learning experience. This blended learning model incorporates both online teaching, and when necessary face-to-face teaching in a well-managed environment that will follow strict social distancing and safety protocols. This will provide students with a mix of practical face-to-face learning and highly effective online learning; whilst limiting the number of people on campus at any given time, and to decrease the need to be on campus. All programmes however will be delivered online once the new academic year begins in October 2020, until universities are given the go ahead to resume face-to-face teaching by the Ghanaian government.

Our academic and student support departments are accessible online, and we have invested heavily into incorporating the best delivery methods to maintain the same high-quality teaching, seminars and support services that make the Lancaster experience truly unique. Since students are part of the global Lancaster community, our students have online access to a library of resources which includes over 150,000 e-books and journals.

For students who have already registered, feel free to call our Foundation Programme Administrator on 024 478 7552 for further questions.
