On the 27th of October 2015, LUG in collaboration with the Run for A Cure Africa foundation hosted a free breast cancer awareness clinic.
During this forum, the ladies within the community attended a talk by Dr. Yaw Twerefour, a medical doctor at Efia Nkwanta regional hospital with the obstetrics and gynecology department.
In addition to the talk, they were examined and advised on the best time to conduct monthly self-evaluations.Participants found the clinic highly informative and relevant to them and their immediate members of society.
