On March 8th, we held an event to celebrate International Women’s Day, focusing on the theme “Inspire Inclusion”. The aim of the event was to empower attendees to champion diversity and inclusion within the LUG community.
The highlight of the event was the engaging panel discussion, moderated by Prof. Cynthia, who brought her expertise to guide the conversation. The panel featured distinguished individuals from the LUG community, including Somtochwuku (final year student), Natalie Parry Amegatcher (alumni relations officer), Lady Barbara Gaisie (Quality Assurance), and Ethel Obeng (Counselor), each bringing unique perspectives and insights to the table.
Attendees were treated to thought-provoking discussions on various topics related to gender equality, empowerment, and inclusivity. Prof. Cynthia’s adept moderation ensured that the conversation remained insightful and impactful throughout the event.
In addition to the panel discussion, the event also featured interactive sessions and networking opportunities, allowing participants to actively engage in the celebration of women’s achievements and contributions.
“We are thrilled to have hosted such a successful event in honor of International Women’s Day,” remarked Prof Cynthia, Provost at LUG. “It was inspiring to see our community come together to celebrate diversity and empower one another. We look forward to continuing these conversations and initiatives to promote inclusivity and equality.”
