Dr. Emmanuel Arthur is a Senior lecturer in Marketing, and currently the Provost at Lancaster University Ghana. He holds a B.A (Hons) degree from the University of Ghana Legon, a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing U.K, a Postgraduate Cert in Academic Practice from Lancaster University U.K, an M.A from Birmingham City University and a PhD from London Metropolitan University. He is a chartered marketer and a full member of both the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK and Ghana.
Dr. Arthur possesses extensive industry and academic experience having worked in Ghana’s export, advertising, communication and service industries. His last held position in industry was Marketing Manager of Ghana Airports Company Ltd where he played a pivotal role in the rebranding of the organization when it decoupled from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority. He has taught in various universities at both undergraduate and graduate levels and before being appointed Provost was head of the Business Studies Department at Lancaster University Ghana.
He has provided training and consultancy services to several private and public sector organizations. He has specialized research interest in market orientation, service marketing, international and export marketing, general application of strategic marketing principles, Ghana’s mobile telecommunications, aviation and oil and gas industries with several publications in reputable journals.
