Dr. Samson Confidence Agbelengor holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon. He is a Lecturer in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Lancaster University Ghana. His research interests explore the roles of state actors, civil society, and international organizations in peacebuilding, which aligns with his doctoral thesis on the institutionalization of peacebuilding in Ghana, applying a dual perspective on infrastructures for peace to evaluate their strengths, limitations, and potential reforms.

Dr. Agbelengor has held research fellowships with the Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa program and participated in an academic exchange at the University of Konstanz, Germany. He was also a guest researcher at the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute and the Africa Centre for Transregional Research at the University of Freiburg, Germany during the 2022–2023 academic year. His current research areas extend to public security policy, memorial infrastructures in peacebuilding, and legislative studies.

He has taught several undergraduate courses, including public administration, gender and politics in Ghana, Ghana’s foreign policy, international organizations, Africa’s political economy since independence, and modern Western political thought. His teaching philosophy emphasizes student-centered learning and a problem-posing approach that engages learners with real-world issues, case studies, and interactive dialogue. He aims to support students in building strong foundations for careers in international relations, governance, and public policy.
