On Wednesday 10th February, students at Lancaster University Ghana were a voice for the environment. Students from the Environmental Law class, Emmanuel Danquah, Titilayo Bodunrin and Bassey Akpanika enlightened the audience on the international laws and treaties related to the environment, the state of the environment in Ghana and sustainable development respectively.
It was evident that the students believed that environmental destruction and climate change issues will not only be solved through individual action but also collective action as nations.
Foundation students’ project management group lead by Oprah Ojukwu also had the opportunity to launch their “Clean Up The Jungle” sanitation project and called upon staff and students to join them on the 26th of February as they clean up Jungle Road, where the school is situated.
