LUG recently held its highly anticipated Provost Awards ceremony, honoring students with exceptional academic performance, leadership qualities, and contribution to the university community. The event, held on the evening of last Tuesday, witnessed the recognition of 34 outstanding students, with special accolades bestowed upon two remarkable individuals.
The Provost Awards, a prestigious tradition at Lancaster University Ghana, serve as a platform to celebrate the achievements and contributions of students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance on campus. This year’s ceremony, held at the university’s campus, was attended by faculty, staff, students, and the Acting CEO and the Acting CEO/ Provost of Lancaster University Ghana.
Among the highlights of the evening were the presentations of the Star of the Term awards to Ankobiah Shawn Nana Asefuah and Amoako Nana Akua Nhyira. These students exemplified academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to the values of Lancaster University Ghana.
In his closing remarks, Dr Emmanuel Arther stated, “Congratulations to all award winners for living exemplary lives and inspiring the entire Lancaster Ghana community.” He added, “The joy of me and management will be that you will not rest. You would continue with this attitude of excellence until your graduation and in your lives beyond Lancaster.”
