LUG students recently had the unique opportunity to visit the Weihai campus in China as part of the Young Professional Global Pathway Project, a pioneering initiative to foster global collaboration and address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This project brings together students from all Lancaster University campuses, allowing them to work in diverse teams to tackle real-world challenges related to the SDGs. This collaborative approach enhances their academic experience and prepares them for professional success in a globally interconnected world.

The visit to Weihai marked the project’s climax, providing an invaluable platform for all participating students to meet in person. During this enriching experience, students shared their experiences and the knowledge they had acquired throughout the project. They also participated in workshops focused on report writing for publication, equipping them with essential skills for their future careers. Madam. Agatha Rockson, who accompanied the students as their lecturer, guided them through this transformative experience.

This initiative underscores LUG’s commitment to providing its students with international exposure and practical experiences that complement their academic learning.
