This year’s career fair was themed “The Pride of Tomorrow: Educated Locally, Leading Globally.” The event brought together students, industry leaders, and partner organisations, all united by a shared goal: bridging the gap between academic learning and the professional world.
The Fair served as a strategic platform for students to connect with leading organisations across key sectors, including business, law, technology, consulting, and professional services. Through exhibitions, networking sessions, and structured internship interviews, participating organisations engaged directly with students, creating immediate pathways to employment and hands-on experience.
A notable feature of the event was an engaging panel discussion that included Ben Gustave Barth, Managing Director of Axcero Advisors/Strategic Finance and Transaction Advisory; Kofi Dadzie, Consultant and Advisor specializing in Emerging Technology Strategy and Risk Governance; Ms. Mercy Love Alfa, an SPHRi-certified HR professional and career coach; and Michelle Essuman, Partner at B & P Associates and Barrister and Solicitor at the Supreme Court of Ghana.
The panel discussion offered practical guidance on navigating career paths, building relevant skills, and standing out in a competitive job market, with students actively engaging through questions and reflections. Participation throughout the fair was strong, as students connected with recruiters, presented their CVs, and took part in on-the-spot interviews, supported by prior CV reviews and career readiness workshops. The event delivered meaningful outcomes, with several students shortlisted for internships and organisations identifying talent for future roles.
Beyond immediate opportunities, students gained valuable industry insights and expanded their professional networks, while participating organisations contributed knowledge that reinforced the importance of collaboration between academia and industry.
Overall, the Lancaster University Ghana Career Fair 2026 achieved its objective of preparing students for the next steps in their careers.
A huge thank you to the participating organisations that made it possible: Advans Savings & Loans Ghana, Addens Technology, Amnesty International, Mnotify, Agri Impact, First National Bank, Quao Realty Ltd, Firmus Connect, and Dentsu.
