Eight remarkable alumni of Lancaster University Ghana (LUG) have been officially called to the Bar in Ghana and Nigeria, a proud milestone that reflects the university’s commitment to developing globally competent, ethical, and impactful legal professionals.

Those called to the Bar in Ghana include Maame Adwoa Kwankyewaah Awuah (Class of 2023), Christabel Bempong Manful (Class of 2021), Papa Nyan Neizer (Class of 2023), Manuela Davis (Class of 2022), Ohemaa Osei Tutu (Class of 2021), and Jason Obeng-Adiyiah (Class of 2020).

In Nigeria, David Bristol-Alagbariya (Class of 2023) and Grace Abiola Olorunfemi (Class of 2023) also earned the distinguished honour of being called to the Bar.

This achievement not only celebrates their individual journeys of discipline and excellence but also underscores the strength of Lancaster University Ghana’s LLB Law Programme, a unique offering that blends British academic standards with African perspectives. Designed with both European and Nigerian electives, the programme equips graduates with the flexibility to practice law across multiple jurisdictions, setting them apart on the global legal stage.

Speaking on the milestone, Dr. Emmanuel Arthur, CEO and Provost of Lancaster University Ghana, expressed immense pride in the alumni’s success.
