The CEO of EIB Networks Limited and Empire Group of Companies, Mr Nathan Anokye-Adisi, popularly known as Bola Ray was our Guest Speaker at our EMBA Masterclass with subject ‘Going The Extra Mile’. This masterclass was designed to give a more practical insight into the module (Corporate Finance) being studied by our EMBA students.
Nat Kwabena Anokye Adisi is best known as one of Ghana’s pioneering radio and television personalities and is developing into one of the nation’s foremost authorities in progressive motivation with regard to event production and business expansion. As a visionary with a keen eye for talent, he inspires those that follow in his entrepreneurial, philanthropic and artistic steps.
The Corporate Finance module of the Executive MBA at Lancaster University Ghana aims to address the principle topics on Corporate Finance that a practising senior manager needs to be aware of in making financial decisions. These include but are not limited to issues such as the identification of relevant costs and revenues in long term decisions, investment appraisal technicques, cost of capital, risk and return attitudes, shares and businesses.
With over 10 years of diligent and humble service in the entertainment industry, Bola Ray shared his personal experience of working in the industry, and stressed on the importance of Going The Extra Mile. He shared tips and tricks for going the extra mile, stressed on the importance of being passionate and dedicated to work. 'Do what you love, and the money will follow', Bola said. He also stressed on the importance of giving back to the society, and being dedicated and executing every task dilligently.
Bola Ray, has for the past years worked diligently as a radio broadcaster and was the first African and Ghanaian to host ‘Top of the Pops’ on BBC Radio. He has proved to music fans that he was one of the showbiz personalities who was working tirelessly to promote Ghanaian music on the international music scene. He made history when he won the Radio Programme of the year at recent Radio and Television Personality Awards, aimed at recognizing and rewarding seasoned Radio and TV personalities who have over the years contributed immensely towards the development of the industry in Ghana, and have also endeared themselves to listeners and viewers. Over the years he has received several awards and accolades and continues to be a respected man in the entertainment industry.
After delivering his lecture, Bola Ray answered questions from the students, and interacted with them during the subsequent networking cocktail.
