Lancaster University Ghana has launched its 2nd Annual Business Cup Challenge for Ghanaian high school students.
The Business Cup Challenge is a unique marketing plan competition designed to challenge high school students and introduce them into the business world at a young age.
The competition gives students the opportunity to win the trophy for their school while developing new business ideas, gaining valuable knowledge and competing for an amount of GHS 4,000 for the winning team of 4 from Stanbic Bank as well as scholarships from Lancaster University Ghana.
Students are encouraged to review and implement real life business plans, analyse critical business scenarios and present their cases to an academic and professional panel which will be headed by Professor John Grainger, Provost of Lancaster University Ghana& Raghav Lal, Executive Director of Trans National Education Ghana Limited.
The six-week competition began on 9th of October and the finals will be held at the National Theatre on the 15th of November 2014.
How the Business Cup Challenge works
Case studies with guidelines will be sent to the school every Friday. All answers must be submitted to Lancaster University Ghana at [email protected] by the following Thursday night (participants have up until midnight).
Case studies will be rated and score cards will be sent to school counselors / unit coordinators every Monday.
Teams will be awarded points according to set criteria and elimination takes place every week.
The final case study will be presented on November 15(with the top 15 final teams to present).
The competition will be judged by panel consisting of members from Lancaster University Ghana & Stanbic Bank
