Our annual Law Week celebration organized by the Law faculty and Lancaster Ghana’s Law Society, began on Tuesday, 28th February 2023 and concluded with a departmental hangout on Saturday, 4th March 2023. The theme for this year’s celebration was “Reviving the Law Society through Community Engagement”.
Fun and exciting activities marked the week-long celebration, including visits to some of Ghana’s leading law firms and mentorship opportunities for current law students.
Career Day: Pathways after LLB – Tuesday, 28th February 2023
The first day of the Law week celebration brought in seasoned speakers for a seminar titled “Career Day – Pathways after LLB”. We were honoured to have Mr. Michael Dzapkasu (Adu Kusi PRUC), Miss Ewura Konadu Kusi (Landmark Legal), Mother Teresa Brew (Attorney General’s Department), and Professor Raymond A. Atuguba (Dean of the University of Ghana Law Faculty) talk about the various opportunities available to students after their LLB.
Industrial Visit – Thursday, 2nd March 2023
Our Law students got the chance to visit the offices of Kulendi Law, Renaissance Law, Legal Plus Law, and Bran-Lardi Beecham Law as part of the events for the Law Week celebration. This gave them a better understanding of the day-to-day activities of a legal professional.
Departmental Hangout – Saturday, 4th March 2023
The week-long celebration culminated with a fun-filled evening. Both students and faculty crowned their efforts with a departmental hangout at the students breakout room.
