Lancaster University Ghana (LUG) recently hosted its annual Agents and Counsellors Workshop in Lagos and Port Harcourt reinforcing its mission to bridge the gap between Nigerian students and world-class British education.
The event served as a strategic touchpoint for LUG to deepen its footprint in Nigeria, one of Africa’s most vibrant academic hubs, by empowering the advisors who shape student futures.
The Agents and Counsellors Workshop featured a series of high-impact presentations led by Dr. Emmanuel Arthur Ag. CEO and Provost of LUG. As part of his submission, he mentioned that the goal of the workshop is to ensure every agent and counselor leaves equipped and confident to advise their students on the full spectrum of the LUG experience.
Participants engaged in deep-dive discussions that covered the full spectrum of the student experience, insights into LUG’s rigorous undergraduate and postgraduate academic programs. To ensure a smooth transition for prospective students, speakers provided step-by-step walkthroughs of the seamless admissions pipeline while offering detailed overviews of financial accessibility through various scholarships, bursaries, and support options.
Beyond the technical training, the workshop fostered a collaborative environment for networking. One-on-one sessions allowed LUG leadership to address specific market concerns, explore new partnership models, and share success stories from long-term associates.
The Agents and Counsellors Workshop is a pivotal milestone in LUG’s regional strategy. By building a foundation of trust and expertise with local partners, Lancaster University Ghana continues to expand access to premium education, ensuring that the next generation of West African leaders is world ready.
