On November 7, 2024, LUG opened its doors to 357 eager students from 15 high schools for an Open Day filled with excitement, energy, and discovery. The event allowed students to immerse themselves in the LUG experience, from vibrant presentations to hands-on campus tours – that revealed just what makes LUG a standout institution for higher learning in Ghana.

The day kicked off with a warm welcome from Mr. Isaac Apeakorang, setting an enthusiasm that kept the students engaged throughout. David Dei Awuku, LUG’s Marketing and PR Manager, followed with an animated presentation on the upcoming Business Cup Challenge, sparking curiosity and friendly competition. Following the main session, students broke into smaller groups, each diving into a closer exploration of LUG’s diverse programs, interacting with faculty, and connecting with current students who shared insights into life at LUG.

The Student Representative Council (SRC) also played an integral role, hosting breakout sessions to showcase the rich and dynamic student life at LUG. From clubs to campus activities, students were introduced to the vibrant extracurricular scene and got a real sense of what being a LUG student is all about.

This interactive day was made possible by 15 dedicated LUG student volunteers and staff, who served as guides, shared their stories, and made each guest feel at home.

Counselors like Moses Dunyoh from DPS International and Eugenia Eulerke from Chemu Senior High admired the event, noting the thoughtful organization and the meaningful connections made. They praised LUG for creating an unforgettable experience that will inspire many students to consider LUG their next academic home.

With world-class programs, an inclusive campus culture, and boundless opportunities, Lancaster University Ghana offers more than just a degree – it offers a journey. We look forward to welcoming even more future leaders through our doors in the coming months.
