In October, we welcomed over 100 new students for both our Foundation Programme, and direct entry into our undergraduate degree programmes in Business, Law, Computer Science and others. This year’s Orientation was filled with academic and team building activities with faculty, staff and the Student Representative Council both on and off-campus.
Our Provost, Professor Anthony Jarvis was there on the first day of campus to welcome all the new students, and shared some encouraging words with them as they started their three or four year journey with us.
In addition to students being taken on a tour of our new expanded A&C Campus, and receiving information from various departments on the facilities and careers and academic support available to students, the Student Affairs Department and SRC organised several different activities for the new students to interact with each other and other students, including a tour of Accra for our international students, course excursions with Programme Coordinators and other Faculty to tourist attractions such as Peduase Valley Resort and Aqua Safari, and introduction to our online library, where students have access to thousands of articles and books.
Prior to the arrival of these freshers, the SRC Welfare Officer, Princess- Portia and Media Club prepared a virtual tour of our new campus, to let them know some of the things they could look forward do.
