Michael K. Quartey is a Lecturer at Lancaster University Ghana. He holds an LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of Johannesburg (South Africa) and an LLB from the University of Cape Coast (Ghana). He is currently an LLD candidate at the University of Johannesburg (South Africa).

His research interests lie in the law of evidence, data protection, the right to privacy, contracts, and technology regulation, with a particular focus on developing effective legal frameworks for the digital age. He has published in the Journal of Comparative Law in Africa and has teaching experience from the Ghana School of Law.

Beyond academia, Michael is a Partner at a law firm in Accra. His practice includes advising clients on commercial transactions and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, he represents clients in both civil and criminal litigation, as well as in domestic and international arbitration proceedings.
