Freda Marfo-Ahenkorah is an accomplished law lecturer with a strong academic background and extensive experience in teaching and research. She earned her LLB from the University of Ghana, followed by the Professional Law Course at the Ghana School of Law. Driven by her passion for legal studies, she pursued an LLM in Commercial Law with a specialization in Maritime and Transport Law at Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
Before joining Lancaster University, Freda was a full-time lecturer at Central University, where she taught Public International Law and Contract Law. She also lectures at the Regional Maritime University, focusing on various aspects of Maritime Law. Her academic interests include International Law, Maritime Law, and Commercial Law, areas in which she has made significant contributions.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Freda has served as a contributing writer for the Ghana Shipping Review and played a pivotal role as the Programs Coordinator for the Center for Maritime Law and Security Studies Africa. She has also been instrumental in organizing workshops and seminars for legal professionals, particularly in the field of Maritime Law.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Freda enjoys music and cooking, bringing creativity and enthusiasm to every aspect of her life. Her diverse interests and dedication to her field make her a dynamic and inspiring educator at Lancaster University.
